Junction City Big Band

I haven't written on this blog for a year! But I have some news. On Friday night, I played tenor saxophone with the Junction City Big Band at the dance they do at Weber State University. The leader of the band approached me after the dance and asked me to stay on permanently with the band. During the school year, we do the dance every month ($7 to get in, $1 for a 30 minute class before the dance to show some dance steps). I am told we will be playing a few gigs this summer as well. I will keep you posted. Everyone plan to come learn to swing dance one time in the next year! It will be a lot of fun. The band sounds great. We play old big band standards.
